Empathy: the ability to understand, be aware of, and be sensitive to the thoughts and feelings of another without those thoughts and feelings being communicated explicitly.

Empathy is one of the concepts I’ve briefly written about before because I very strongly believe that empathy is so lacked in our communities…

Isn’t faith such a beautiful thing? Believing in and trusting the power of your creator so much that even in the worst of times, you have faith that He will protect you and He has your back. …

Sometimes we find ourselves disappointed and after we cool down (aka usually sleeping on it for a bit) we try to look for that root cause of disappointment. For me, that root cause is usually myself. It’s the disappointment in myself for being selfless for an extra second when maybe…

I visited Blacksburg recently and had a conversation with a friend that really got me thinking (surprise surprise, I know). My friend and I don’t necessarily have the same social circle, though I don’t see a problem with either. But talking about these circles helped me realize something. If you…

This was supposed to be written yesterday, but I was spending time with Motha Nature so here we are today!

One year ago today, things were different. One year ago today, I came home from college thinking I’d be back in one short week. One year ago today, I told…

In a way, this post is more of a multi-part series of stigmas that people really just need to not.

One thing that is too often underestimated is the power of making supplications. When making supplications, you are directly talking to the Almighty — whether that be asking for something or being grateful. The largest power of prayer and supplications is that these are the line to Allah (swt). This…

I started reading this book months ago, but then got busy with school so it just kind of sat on my side table. But now that I have so much [free] time, I’m starting back up from where I left off and I am so in love with the concepts the author talks about. I had originally gotten the idea of this account from reading this book because I realized I wanted to share what I was learning but then since I stopped reading, that kind of ended there. I love reading this book because it takes a lot of basic Islamic concepts and really puts things into perspective and makes them easier to see as everyday implementations!! The next a lot of posts are probably gonna be somewhat related to what I’ve read so far, so stay tuned :)
