For a lot of people, a new year (of their life) means new beginnings. Although I do believe in setting goals for improving oneself, I think you can’t do that until you’ve truly reflected on the year behind you and learned from it. Some of the things I’ve learned from this year are:
- prioritize religion
- set your boundaries
- cherish the people in your life and hold on to the ones that mean the most
- cherish life itself
- trust your Creator
- learn to forgive
- appreciate your family
- mend the relationships that matter
- reach out to people and check up on them
- help people in need
- bring joy to others
The biggest lesson I’ve learned this year is that things don’t always go as planned, but making the most out of your current situation is the key to staying happy.
Alhamdulillah for this year and for all of the people who have made this year so amazing and thank you to the people who taught me lessons that I otherwise wouldn’t have learned ❤️ here’s to another year of learning a countless number of more lessons.
